“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”
1 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
Reflection
We all feel the weight of our mistakes and the distance they create between us and a perfect God. This distance isn't something we can close on our own, no matter how hard we try to be good. Jesus, the only person to ever live a truly innocent life, stepped into our mess to solve this problem. He took the pain and the penalty of our wrongs upon Himself, dying in our place so that the barrier of sin could be demolished forever. He didn’t stay dead, though; He rose again to prove that life with God is possible for everyone. God isn't interested in keeping people out; He is actively drawing you toward Him. Jesus did the heavy lifting so that the way home is wide open. This gift of friendship with God is extended to every single person without exception. It doesn't matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done; you are free to accept His love and start a relationship with Him today. Why not reach out to Jesus and see for yourself?
