And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Reflection

Humanity was not created for isolation or bitterness, but for the radiant warmth of love. We often treat forgiveness as a transaction or a difficult duty, yet it is actually the medicine that heals the soul’s deepest wounds. When we hold onto grudges, we stay locked in a cold, dark room of our own making. But God has already broken the doors down. In Christ, God has poured out an ocean of mercy upon the entire world, not because we earned it, but because His nature is pure love. By being tenderhearted, we participate in His own life. To forgive another person is to breathe the fresh air of heaven and to let the light of the Resurrection dissolve our shadows. Step out of the darkness and let Christ’s kindness transform you today.
