Reflection

We are often tempted to look for a bridge between our messy lives and the holiness of God in the wrong places. We try to climb a ladder of our own making, or we search for meaning in things that eventually turn to dust. But God did not leave us to wander across an unbridgeable gap. He became one of us. Because Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, he is the only place where heaven and earth perfectly meet. In his own body, he has stitched our broken nature back together with his divine life. He is not a distant judge, but a brother who shares our skin and bone, leading us into the heart of God. Come to him just as you are and begin the journey of being made whole.
