Reflection

Life is not a solo performance, though it often feels lonely. We are surrounded by a vast company of people who have lived before us—ordinary men and women who faced the same darkness and found the Light. They are not gone; they are alive in God, cheering us on. To join them, we have to drop the heavy burdens and old habits that drag us toward the ground. We find the strength to do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus. He walked into the teeth of death, not because He had to, but because He loves us and wanted to bring us home. He faced the worst of human cruelty and transformed it into a path toward life. Look toward Him today; He is already reaching out to help you walk.
