Reflection

We do not heal ourselves any more than a plant causes the sun to rise. Life is a gift. Being rescued from the vacuum of death and the sickness of our own selfishness is a gift. This restoration is an act of God’s pure generosity, a light shining into the darkness we could never clear on our own. It is not a wage we earn by being impressive or a prize for those who follow the rules best. Because this healing is a gift, there is no room for pride, only gratitude. Faith is simply the act of opening our hands to receive what is being offered. It is how we step into the stream of God’s own life, letting His grace repair our brokenness and knit us back into union with Him. Turn toward Him today; His life is already reaching out for you.
