Reflection

In the light of the Resurrection, we see that God’s "device of peace" is not a legal decree, but the person of Jesus Christ. By taking on our flesh, the Word entered the grave to trample down death by death, shattering the chains of our corruption. Salvation is not a mere escape from punishment, but a profound healing of the human icon. As the Fathers teach, God became what we are so that we might become what He is. He offers us His very life—theosis—inviting us into an eternal communion of love. Yet, He never forces the soul. We are called to use our freedom to cooperate with His grace, allowing His light to transfigure our brokenness into "these good things" promised of old. Today, let go of fear and turn toward Christ.
