1 Maccabees 5:24
“Against those who were hindering the captive Jews in the region of Gilead, Judas Maccabeus and his brother Jonathan, having been sent with their companions, crossed the Jordan and went a three days' journey through the desert. In the same way, holy preachers, sent into the world to summon people to the faith of Christ…”
