Verse

John 18:7

A church father on this verse
"He saith again, Whom seek ye?" What madness! His word threw them backward, yet not even so did they turn, when they had learnt that His power was so great, but again set themselves to the same attempt. When therefore He had fulfilled all that was His, then He gave Himself up.
John Chrysostom, 5th c. — Homily on the Gospel of John 83
Original
