Joshua 6:3
“But the Jews are sure to say that ever since this precept was given through Moses, the observance has been binding. But it is clear according to the text that the precept was not eternal or spiritual but temporary, which would one day cease. In short, so true is it that it is not in the exemption from work of the sabb…”

1Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
